Its about time!

Judy's Husband Dick is hard at work making some much need upgrades to the Homestead! I have no idea how Judy handled raising 7 kids with only one bath room (she never complained either)! Not only is Dick putting in a bathroom, he and Judy have also picked out some great carpet and vinyl for the living room and kitchen... and have plans for the downstairs bathroom. They also have plans to put new vinyl siding on the house. I can't tell you how excited I am for Judy and how very much she deserves all of the great new upgrades! Yeah Judy-O !!!

This is the home Micah grew up in! Micah's father built this house with his bare hands, that fact alone has always been something Micah has been so proud of! We are so glad that this home is getting the love it deserves to last for generations to come.

Who loves their dead relatives the most...

The first thing we did in Star Vally was decorate the graves. It was only Saturday,(Memorial day was Mon) and most of the graves had already been decorated. So Judy and I decided the earlier you decorate the graves the more you love the people who have passed... so we are going to start decorating now for next year (of course we love our relatives most!)

Wow my kid is sooo handsome!

Mase and I getting ready to leave

We headed to Freedom's graveyard first(and ended in Afton's)... this was the first time that we had seen Marty's grave w/ the headstone a plaque! Mic had a hard time seeing the headstone, its miserable to think that Marty will never know our children or teach them all the wonderful things he knew!

I've done the memorial rounds with Judy before and she cut back a ton this year and still we had to take several vehicles to fit all the flowers in! (we have relatives in every graveyard in StarValley)

Another year of Ryker...

While we where in Pocatello we got to crash our nephew Ryker's (I just love that name) b-day party. He is 5... 5 can you believe it! Ryker is Micah's little (haha by 1 inch) brother Cole's son... we had so much fun and we are so glad that Cole and Kate didn't move and forget to give us the address. (one day I night do that to someone) They are such a great family and always a hoot (yes hoot) to be around!

Awe Gma Judy... awe! (that night she got sooo sick and the next morning she headed into the hospital she is such a trooper)

Just getting into the presents... ours is the dual action squirt gun!

Here Ryker is holding the gun... Kate was so excited!

Ryker w/ Reese... they are such good friends... seriously I never see them fighting (I wonder what Kate bribes them with?)

Look at this well oiled cake cutting ice cream scooping machine... it was dang good cake too!
***side note***
Kate has had 3 kids who all weigh more than she does ... ughhh!!!

Did someone say BBQ?

While we were at my parents in Utah we of course BBQ... mmm!

My daddy is the amazing shrinking man he has lost over 100lbs (I wish he would share his secret)

My lil sis Mik is sure looking great... BTW I did her hair!

Did it ever occur to any of you that I look like my mom? She is approaching 1/2 a century and she looks awesome (yup I hit the gene lottery)

Mason before Grandpa gave him an orange

After Grandpa gave him 15 oranges... I should have taken a picture of his awesome diaper later ... thanks dad!

Mason's Great grandparents... They're GREAT!

We spent sometime with my grandma and grandpa Cole in Spanish Fork, while we were visiting Utah! Mason was in love with all the reachable knick knacks that grandma has around the house and he so generously wanted to touch and eat them all! Seriously, if I had not been there to say no both of my grandparents would have said yes to what ever the little tyrant wanted... Mason had both of their numbers the second we walk through the door and he happily bent them to his will.

I know how very lucky I am to have both of my Grandparents alive and I plan on keeping them around as long as God will let me have them!

My Grandma Maxine is seriously sitting on the floor and playing with Mason... I haven't seen her sit on the floor like this in years!

Mason just had to give her his best 'I want eyes' and she was running to feed and water the little beast!

I was sure that my Grandpa Stan would never bend to Mason... he didn't just bend he snapped like a twig... poor grandpa was laughing so hard at everything Mase did

I am so glad that we got to spend time with them and that Mason took to them so well!

Thats right, suck on your cancer stick... I hope you choke on it!

We are having a wonderful time on our travels... I will post more on that later!

Right now I need to rant... if you love some one who is an inconsiderate smoker you might stop here...

Today at 5:30 Mason and I drove over to the ISU campus and decided to enjoy the warm/hot afternoon on the grass while we waited for Micah to finish up for the day... So I pulled up in front of the cute museum and grabbed a blanket, the stroller, and the paper and went to sit in the shade next to a cute stone bench... I put Mase on the blanket under this beautiful blossoming tree and thought how pretty it was being in Idaho again.

I pulled out the paper and browsed it a lil and played with Mase and went back and forth over 20 mins until he crawled behind me and thinking he was wanting to us the bench to stand I kept a hand on him and when I didn't feel him stand up I turned around to see him chewing on a butt that's right a butt... Some ass hole had sat on that cute bench smoked a cigarette and then flicked the butt on to the grass to be disguised by the dropping blossoms... what a completely worthless individual, I at this moment hope death finds him/her quickly because the world would be a better place with them gone!

So I grabbed Mase and did a sweep of his mouth and got some chunks out and then I sat on the bench turned him over and made him gag until no more of that nasty crap came up... yes I should have watched my baby better I take responsibility for him having found the butt and eaten it, but how damn hard would it have been for that retard to put the butt in the trash? My poor kid cryed for 5 mins after that and I could barely understand what my sister had to say that poison control had said... Did you know that a whole butt can be toxic for a baby, or that tobacco can cause bleeding of the intestines? Well now you do!

Micah came out of work to find me frantic and ornery as hell... at that moment anyone who walked by smoking would have been a target for me (no one did) No of course instead it was the policeman's Ball (yes I know that joke) and all of the Chubbuck and Pocatello policemen were headed into the building walking by (me) this crazy mother with her child over her knee, a finger down his throat, and the other hand smacking his back... not one of those brave cops came near me...

Mason is fine so far I am keeping a close eye on him and also his diaper! I have yet to find anyone smoking, but I will! I am still as mad now as I was when it happened... who would have thought that Eugene would be so much cleaner than Pocy?

Mason's Room

I wish so much that I had taken a before picture... It has bothered me for months that we had to stand up the spare bed against the wall and everytime I tried to lay it down and make it work with the furniture in the room nothing fit right soooo I traded Mason's big dresser (full of things he wasn't using) for one of our end tables in our room... I just need drawer storage for pjs and shorts I hang everything including onesies. I hung some curtains that I got a while ago on sale and made a really cute crib skirt... I need some more wall art, a new bedspread, and possibly a rug but it already looks a ton better!

My attempt at off the cuff creativity...
It could be worse

My favorite is the stars on the cutains... awe sweet dreams lil man

Tada... my crib skirt 4 hours later (Mason was not willing to play quietly in the corner while mama sewed)

Now to all my creative friends... give me your ideas! FYI... its an apartment so we can't paint!

Our Anniversary... one of many!

I am an incredibly lucky girl... every year I get to pick between 3 wedding Anniversarys... jealous? So this year I picked May 10th as our day! I loving took Micah to Macy's and showed him the perfume and bracelet I had spent hours picking out during his many late nights! Micah laughed and generously bought me the items I wanted so badly... then of course when he gave them to me I of course acted suprised and marvaled at his ability to read my mind!

Micah and I have shared 5 years of our lives together and we have experienced so many wonderful things together. I am so incredibly lucky to have my sweet husband and our beautiful lil boy! *sniff sniff*

Here is a little walk down memory lane...

So after looking through our wedding pics Micah and I are headed to buy gym passes! Yup memory lane is paved with shards of glass, reminding us how old we are getting!

WWJD... really?

So this is a bit of a funny, sarcasticy, ranty post! Just be forewarned!

So i went out with some girl friends last night to give Anna that one last hurrah before Aaron graces us with his sweet little self. We had lots of fun chatting about babies and mutual friends. When we left we were approached by one of the many homeless people in Eugene. Poor thing had led a life that was definitely showing on her face... (do you remember the bitter beer face commercial... that face) She asked us for money so she and her boyfriend could get back to there camp... no one had cash (we all paid w/ cards), but we did have out doggie boxes (mmm whiskey river bbq wrap) So my friend Liane did a totally sweet and selfless WWJD thing she gave this woman her leftovers... then the woman turned and looked at me like ok your turn hand it over... I did... ugh! She left us yelling to the boyfriend that had been hiding in the bushes, that she had left overs (oh yeah) I didn't think a whole lot of it and we remained in the parking lot chatting and saying our goodbyes... when I was leaving I saw that same homeless chick riding on a bike (stolen?) and talking on a cel phone! The nerve of that horrible person! I was so looking forward to eating that wrap today and... I really hope she falls off her bike and skins her knees!

So my question and realization from this lesson is... Its unfair to say WWJD, he has insider information! Those are horribly unfair standards! No one knows for sure how JC would act in one situation or another and asking his people to guess sets them up to be taken advantage of!

Now i realize that I have forfeited any and all blessings I may have received because I gave grudgingly, but I hate being taken advantage of and it irritates me when people expect a hand out instead of working for what they need... I will give no more to the vagrant of Eugene!

Sea Lions & Elephants & Bears... oh boy!

Last Monday before Miki flew home we spent some time at the Portland zoo... it was so fun (they have snow cones my fav...I ate 3) We went more so we could kill some time, because Mason slept most of the time and we the only part he like was the swimming ducks and the train.

Aunt Miki and Mase infront of a really cool wall.

Mason loves to drive...thanks to Micah. When ever we drive up to Skinner's Butte in Eugene Micah gets Mason out and lets him play with the steering wheel... This Tractor was outside of the Black Bear exhibit and was dedicated to all the farmers who had lost their lives to bear attacks... hahaha

Mase was only slightly interested in the fish...

This big monster got his attention though

My kid won't keep socks or shoes on... I read somewhere that having them wear shoes and socks when they are learning to walk can hurt their ability to balance... I wonder if thats why I can't walk on a flat surface with out giving the impression I've been drinking.

Oh and I finished the Crayon Roll for my SIL Kellie's big sis Debbie (I just love you Debbie)... This fabric was given to me by one of the cute leaders of the Heart of the Home playgroup I attend, her daughter is the creator of this amazing site Two Tinas She sews amazingly cute things for Nordstroms and she has lots of scraps (she cuts off 7in from the bottom of every roll of fabric) her mom so generously shared some with me!

Debbie, I really hope you like it and better yet that your cutie pie angels do to!

The Coast

We spend so much time on the coast it will oneday be more cost efficent for us to just buy a place to spend the weekends and summers by the sea.

I just love these two

Look at Micah's expression

Now check out Mase's... can anyone really doubt that they are related... my life consists of dealing with 2 grouches!

This place is called the Chowder Bowl its in Depoe bay and everytime we go to the bay we eat here mmmm its so yummy!

There is a sexual assault lawsuit pending... so I really can't comment on this picture. Other than to say this picture clearly shows the Hag falling into Micah... she is so lucky his hand just happened to be there... to catch her

45 miles South of Depoe bay lays this hidden cove, the walls of the surrounding cliffs shelter the beach from the constant wind on the coast the sand is not overly picked through and often people leaave with star fish and sand dollars tucked in a pocket... come for a visit and we will show you our beach!!! (that sounded a lil vulgar)

The waves are so awesome during high tide...

This light house sits just above the beach its a short 1/2 mile hike to the top... the view is well worth the walk!!

Now that I have given you the tour of our second home... come visit!
