Happy Birthday lil boy!

He is officially 1... God help us! Micah said this morning he couldn't believe how fast time has flown and how much Mase has helped us grow and change as parents... I have no idea what he's talking about we barely survived this past year... we look it too!

We decided that with the passing of Michael Jackson its probably safe to put birthday suit pics of Mason up!

HA ha ha i wonder how many woman felt this way and how many thought it was ridiculous! When I know Micah is on his way home I do straighten up and run the vaccum through Mason's crumbs... I want Mic to enjoy coming home to us, to a clean home and warm meal!

Before / After and a few projects...

Here are some of the things I've been up too! Nothing serious just things to stay busy... sorry for the blog over load lately I just have lots to share!


The old bookcase now rocks for mason's toys!

I made this fabric bucket for my friend Jessica's baby shower and filled it with lots of other cute matching homemade gifts that i forgot to take a pic of oops!

This cute quilt by Thimble Blossoms(thanks Kira for the emotional support!) It's now sewn together and I need to pick my borders.

Now a sexy black! I need to find different decorations for the top but still alot better!

Down on the farm

We went to visit the farm and for Mase it was love at first pet! He just couldn't get his little arm in far enough, everytime he got close enough to touch one his little fist would bop (its sounds nicer than hit or punch) these poor goats right in the nose, eye, teeth (it didn't matter as long as contact was made) then he would squeal and laugh!

The Beach House!

Jealous much?!
So I put an add on craigslist listing the amount we were willing to pay for a beach house and these awesome people answered! So we will be spending Mason's first birthday HERE I can't wait!!!
** We got this place for less than it would cost to get a hotel!

This will also be our first ever vacation! No seriously visiting family doesn't count as a vacay (no matter how fun) so in 5 years this is our first VACATION

Look at all these great lookin guys! Yup they are all in my family tree (we adopted G-pa in 87) Hope everyone had a great Daddies Day and thanks to this awesome holiday Micah will no longer be stealing my ipod! The Daddy faeries brought Mic an Ipod those great faeries!

Mason's WALKING!!!

Today Mason took his first official steps (more than 2)... what am I going to do my lil terror is really mobile! I will confess I cried a lil when he took those shaky steps... he was so much easier to corral when he was just crawling. Now the world is his oyster (what does that even mean?) and I will be investing in one of those sad lil kid leashes!

Are you kidding me???

So this morning Mason decided to wake up at the literal butt crack of dawn... so I pulled him in bed w/ us and nursed him for a while, hoping that he would sleep for another hour snuggled w/ us. No dice... when he finished nursing he thought it was funny to crawl between Mic and I, and smack us in the face until he got a response... while he was in the middle of smacking me (this is so gross) he puked in my hair and ear!! It was so awful! Somebody is getting weened soon!

Spaghetti anyone?

Mason sure loves his pasta and we love to watch him eat it! I really hate cleaning up later... but its worth it!

Its about time!

Judy's Husband Dick is hard at work making some much need upgrades to the Homestead! I have no idea how Judy handled raising 7 kids with only one bath room (she never complained either)! Not only is Dick putting in a bathroom, he and Judy have also picked out some great carpet and vinyl for the living room and kitchen... and have plans for the downstairs bathroom. They also have plans to put new vinyl siding on the house. I can't tell you how excited I am for Judy and how very much she deserves all of the great new upgrades! Yeah Judy-O !!!



This is the home Micah grew up in! Micah's father built this house with his bare hands, that fact alone has always been something Micah has been so proud of! We are so glad that this home is getting the love it deserves to last for generations to come.

The panels, table, step stool, pillows, bowl,and sports art! I feel like I have a whole new apt!

So Anna and I have been planning and waiting for the Ryan Meadows Sales for Months! We love to yard sale (we met at a sale) and finally Aaron is here and its time to hit the sidewalks!

We had so much fun and the other girls found some awesome deals too! Ok now we are ready for more visitors!!! De you need to come back and see how much better our place looks!

Who loves their dead relatives the most...

The first thing we did in Star Vally was decorate the graves. It was only Saturday,(Memorial day was Mon) and most of the graves had already been decorated. So Judy and I decided the earlier you decorate the graves the more you love the people who have passed... so we are going to start decorating now for next year (of course we love our relatives most!)

We headed to Freedom's graveyard first(and ended in Afton's)... this was the first time that we had seen Marty's grave w/ the headstone a plaque! Mic had a hard time seeing the headstone, its miserable to think that Marty will never know our children or teach them all the wonderful things he knew!



I've done the memorial rounds with Judy before and she cut back a ton this year and still we had to take several vehicles to fit all the flowers in! (we have relatives in every graveyard in StarValley)

Another year of Ryker...

While we where in Pocatello we got to crash our nephew Ryker's (I just love that name) b-day party. He is 5... 5 can you believe it! Ryker is Micah's little (haha by 1 inch) brother Cole's son... we had so much fun and we are so glad that Cole and Kate didn't move and forget to give us the address. (one day I night do that to someone) They are such a great family and always a hoot (yes hoot) to be around!



Awe Gma Judy... awe! (that night she got sooo sick and the next morning she headed into the hospital she is such a trooper)

Just getting into the presents... ours is the dual action squirt gun!

Look at this well oiled cake cutting ice cream scooping machine... it was dang good cake too!
