Max

Max the baby of the family (for now) is growing by leaps and bounds!  He is 7 months now!  He had 2 bottom teeth fully in and 2 teeth that are just starting to push through!  He spider crawls  (hands and feet as opposed to knees) so fast, when I sweep the floor it's a rush to try and get the crumbs sweep up... He thinks my little piles are snack bars for him!
He can cruise the couches like a pro, and he loves showing off his tricks!

His facial expressions are just to die for cute, and he does the sniffing nose wrinkle that just makes me giddy!

Using the restroom is a competitive sport for me, I have to be quick (and sanitary).  With 2 forgetful big boys and one moving baby his life is always in danger!  Seriously, I snapped this washing machine pic after I closed the door to the garage someone had left open (that could have been nasty)

How cute is this baby!  I am so exhausted, but so very happy!

Memorial Weekend

We had a busy weekend, and it was so much fun to have things to do!

Friday started of with me having my first ever garage sale!  Wahoo... NOT!  I had 6 people stop in 4 hrs and I made $67.00.  I live in the worst neighborhood for a garage sale and the best one for low traffic!   We finished the day at Rodeo our local family restaurant, the boys love it for the trains that drive around the ceiling (very cool for little boys)

Saturday we headed into Eugene for a fun filled couple of hours with the Nelson family at the Beers, Blues, and BBQ festival!  I managed to get a little sun and Mason and Miles both won gold fish!
We love ballon animals!

Mason decided to name his fish 'Elmo' and Miles names his 'Yar'. The boys were ecstatic about there first pets (I guess baby brothers don't count)

Mase and Elmo

Sunday was a day of BBQ, furniture shopping, cleaning, and naps! We bought special fish food for Elmo and Yar and the boys took the fish on several outings; meeting the neighbors, jumping on the trampoline, seeing the upstairs and any other place they though the fish might like!

Monday was wonderful!  We got up and out the door in a hurry to make the Memorial service at the JC cemetery.  Now my boys only know cemeteries from cartoon and there understanding is limited as to what we do there or so I thought.

We pulled in slowly and with the windows down to lots of elderly people decorating loved ones graves (seriously, there were like 4 young families on the whole place) as we drove up the gravel road careful of all the pedestrians Mason told me at normal Mason level (loud) that "tonight all these dead people will be zombies". He didn't just tell me once he told me over and over again... Making sure that every grannie in the place gave me dirty looks!

Once we settled the zombie theory to Masons satisfaction we made out way on foot to the flag area to watch the Veterans ceremony.  Now not everyone could make it to this area on foot, one little lady who was up there in years (even among the elderly group assembled) was pushed up in a wheel chair.  She barely made it in time and she was trying hard to make a stealthy arrival.  Which was difficult because I the hush that had fallen over the crowd as the men assembled to 'forward march'. In between that order to move and the quiet crunch of wheels on gravel Mason loudly proclaimed to the assembled group that " the old lady is gonna die soon ".

In that moment Micah turned quietly with Maddox in his arms and headed straight for the car.  I was still at this point determined that my boys would learn some respect for our country and its veterans.

After the pledge, national anthem, and flag raising, one of the men read a lovely poem it was at this point that Miles announced to the group, " My poopy is coming"

I gave up!

Next year we will try to teach patriotism, this year I didn't want anyone to commit a felony on my family!

We got home to find Elmo floating up side down in the bowl.  Mason was heart broken.  I gave him the option to bury him in the backyard (like at the cemetery) or burial at sea.  Mason not wanting Elmo to go zombie on him opted for a burial at sea.  Flushing his fish was a real spirit booster, until Miles decided he didn't want to be left out... Yar and Elmo are together forever at sea!

We bought a house!

We bought a beautiful, perfect home in Junction City, Oregon... We are over the moon!

See it's just darling!

No we didn't buy acres of property, but we did buy on the very edge of a subdivision and there is nothing between us and the coastal range.

We have a postage stamp size backyard, but that didn't stop me from taking advantage of the offer of a free "jump-o-line".  I made it fit!

I lost the screws for the boys bunk bed in the move and it took me 2 weeks to find them!  I shouldn't have even wasted the time searching, the boys are still sneaking into our bed... And with Micah traveling I like to have all my little chicks in arms reach!

The boys favorite part of our home is the 3 bathrooms, in fact when ever someone comes over or asks about our new home that is the first thing they talk about.

We now have room for all our friends to visit and to throw some really kick-A parties (well as kick-a as parents of 3 kids can get).

Will we ever out grow bunny ears?

It's my favorite time of year... Benefit season!  For some reason the majority of non for profit organizations have their biggest fundraising events over the next few months.  I am lucky enough to get to attend some of them.  It's very similar to prom... Even as adults we still have a curfew, we make-out in the car, and my date gives me bunny ears!

I'm so darn lucky to have this guy, he is just yummy!

A little gambling for charity!  Why is it I win with funny money, but never with the real thing!

Max stayed with our sitter for the first time and did so good!  Yah, I can have dates with out the munchkin chaperone, squawking when ever Micah gets too close!

Miles

Miles still goes to daycare once a week when I volunteer in Mason's classroom.  Every month a child gets to bring in some of their favorite pictures and put them on the board and share their stories with the other kids.

This is Miles' month!  He was so excited going through the pictures and telling his stories!

This pictures make me smile, but I also really need to print new pictures... These are all 18months old!

This is Diego and he loves Miles!   Miles is an old 3 and Diego is a young 3...  My kid is huge!

In the market

We are serious home shoppers... Ok as serious as Micah and I can be.  We love/hate everything and want what's not for sale.
Our weekends are full of long drives, open houses, and exploring new parks. We make it fun for the kids by having them watch for new parks we can visit (Micah purposely avoids any parks in an area until we are ready to stop). The boys play along pretty well.

The boys know right away if try like a home or not and at times can be really embarrassing.  We have walked into open houses and Mason has said loudly he doesn't like a place.  I usually agree with his opinion but it's not nice to loudly tell a room a place stinks!

The hunt goes on and on and on... I'll keep you updated!

Mason was trying to get a shot of Micah dunking the ball or touching the rim and I have 57 thousand shots of a hoop!

Saturday was 52 and sunny, perfect for park hunting!

The best view in the house

When Micah's out of town this is what I open my eyes to.

Attack of the sugar bugs!!!

Back to the dentist we go...

Mason told Kristy one morning that his teeth hurt, she texted me and I called the dentist.  They gave me two options either we could come in at 1020 that day or wait until march... Hmmm tough choice!

I took all 3 of the boys with me (I was nervous, if all 3 melted I was going to need the gas not Mase).  We got to the office right on time, which was a miracle in and of itself.  We walked in and Max was snoring in his car seat.

FYI... Baby snores are the best, much better than adult snores!

Miles and Mason headed straight for the toy wall and I got us checked in.  Poor Mason only got to play with the toys for a few minutes and we were all headed back to the procedure room.  Mason jumped in the chair and talked the poor assistant's ear off.  She got him started on the gas and he relaxed so quickly (i would really like some for at home)

The dentist came in and talked to mason about the sugar bugs eating his teeth and how he needed to put the bugs to sleep so he could get rid of them.

Mason has a huge fear of needles and I really contemplated sedation so as not to upset him and cause complications.  In the end I thought trying the gas would be worth the risk (not to mention the affordability).  This pic is of him getting the shots, he didn't even flinch.  He didn't know it was coming either!

Once his mouth started to sleep he asked me to take Miles back to the toys so he and Max didn't accidentally wake up the sleeping sugar bugs.  I was heart broken and proud at the same time, he does need me but maybe he should.  I kissed his head and whispered "luv ya" and he shhhed me out the door.

This was during the "shot"!  I was so nervous and he was too busy telling stories

He was done so quick and was a great little patient

The kids all get a token to take to the prize machine!  This is everyone's favorite  part!

Mason ended up with a Crown and a filling.  He now has a shiny tooth like daddy which he loves looking at in the mirror.  He also has a healthy obsession with sugar bugs, one we discuss anytime anyone is eating anything within sight of Mason.

Life is as always so darn good!

Library visit

I decided after the long boring year we had last year with me tired and pregnant for most of it, that this year we are going to do more!  Enjoy our community, take advantage of all the fun daytime activities that happen during the week!

Soooooo, we headed to the library to enjoy the 3-6yr olds story time.  I was sure it was going to be a hit.

I stopped for coffee on the way and we arrived early enough for the boys to browse the books.  I sat down at a kiddie table in a kiddie chair with Max Bjorne riding my front.  Once I sat down, I couldn't get up.  My knees just wouldn't work with the awkward baby situation, so i had this brilliant idea to climb down to the floor to reposition myself to get up.  in the process of climbing down onto my hands and knees, I spilled my entire coffee all over the table!  There I was on my hands and knees in the kiddie section swearing like a sailor and mopping up the spill with a baby blanket and wipes!

Once my mess was cleaned I quickly ushered the kids into the story room and away from the scene of my crime.  The boys played with some puppets and looked at the books they had on display until the program started.  A crazy eugene lady with a badly done blue dye job came into the room and started the group off on a song!

Miles ran to the front of the room screaming SHUT UP from the top of his lungs.  I had to run to the front of the room apologizing to the offended parents and drag Miles back to our chairs.

Mason decided at this point that story time was lame and for babies.  So he acted like a giant baby and crawled under my chair and kicked my seat through the first book.  Miles of course followed Masons queues and hid under the chairs as well.

3 books, 4 songs, and a puppet show later and finally it was over.  As the other parents were leaving a woman stopped and personally thanked me for breast feeding Max in public.  What do you say to that..." Your welcome"  That's all that came to my mind.

We were the last family out and one of the library attendants who looked incredibly young (think college student) stopped me and told me after watching me wrestle my boys, she had decided she only wants girls... I was and still am speechless.  I'm sure I mumbled some platitude as we walked by.  I kept picturing a pinterest pin that reads "your children make me want to OD on birth control."

The library was a hit all thinks considered, we changed lives, some lady will find a way to pick the sex of her children.  Miles can't wait to go again and Mason has agreed to come as long as I promise a treat later!

The giant globe was a hit!  We found Eugene!

They can't wait to see it again tomorrow!
